The T&T Shipbuilding & Repair Maritime Cluster (TTSRMC) since 2008, is focused on shiprepairs and its shipyards project at La Brea. The TTSRMC started as a diversification initiative of the Ministry of Trade & Industry, Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Shipbuilding & Repair Development Company of Trinidad & Tobago Limited (SRDC) is the La Brea shipyards project developer and was legally incorporated by the Office of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs on the 18th August, 2009 as a 'For Profit' Company in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, under THE COMPANIES ACT, 1995. LNG carrier shiprepairs and services will be one of the main activities undertaken.
SRDC is open to potential new shiprepairs partners, though the company remains the La Brea shipyards and shipbuilding project owner, until a final investment decision occurs. To date, the shipyard has attracted investment interest from Trinidad and Tobago, United States of America, Dubai, Belgium and the People's Republic of China.
Wilfred is the Chairman & CEO of the Shipbuilding & Repair Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SRDC) together with its non-profit entity, the T&T Shipbuilding & Repair Maritime Cluster (TTSRMC) since 2008. The TTSRMC started as a diversification initiative of the Ministry of Trade & Industry, Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
He is also a maritime journalist, having authored and co-authored several articles that was reviewed and published locally, regionally and in well-known global shipping publications, such as, Maritime Reporter and Engineering News, MarineLink, Caribbean Maritime, Sustainable Business and LNG World Shipping.
Having served several times, as a former guest lecturer and student mentor at the University of the West-Indies Lok Jack Global School of Business Port & Maritime and their International Trade & Logistics Procurement MBA programmes,

Deisy was born in Caracas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. She holds an advance degree in Computer Informatics from the Instituto Universitario de Tecnología Pedro Emilio in Puerto Ordaz, Ciudad Guayana, Bolívar State.
She is the developer of the maritime transportation and tourism project linking Tucupita, Capital of Delta Amarcuro State, Venezuela with Trinidad and Tobago.
She joined the TTSRMC as an internSHIP student in 2018 and quickly rose to the position of Director/Corporate Secretary. Deisy is also bilingual.
Deisy was the recipient of the Order for Meritorious Service from the Delta Amacuro State in 2004 and also leads the Fundacion de los Jovenes "Jose Felix Rivas" (FUNDAJUVENTUD). Her NGO is a non-profit foundation and has worked with UNAIDS, the United Nations and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
Gerald, also fondly called Gerry has been with the SRDC, since inception.
He is a Certified Marine Electricial Engineer and owner of J-MEC Limited, a leading electrical contractor, specialising in commercial, industrial and marine supply and installations (on-shore and offshore).
